Wagyu Beef Is the Star at This New BGC Restaurant
(SPOT.ph) True-blue carnivores will know that wagyu beef is prized for a reason. Sourced from cattles of a specific breed that are given the star treatment, the resulting meat has topnotch marbling and an exceptionally flavorful, melt-in-your-mouth character. Good news: You can soon indulge your hankerings at Wagyu Studio—a soon-to-open restaurant at the Finance Center in Bonifacio Global City that specializes in all things Wagyu. They're opening their doors on October 31.

"Wagyu is and always will be the centerpiece of the Wagyu Studio," says operations director Lui Clavano in a statement. "We believe in preparing high-quality ingredients in most the creative ways, adding to the experience above and beyond our unequaled Wagyu." At the helm of the kitchen is Chef Yoji Kitayama, who has worked for the luxury hotels like the Hotel Okura Amsterdam, Grand Hyatt Tokyo, and more.

Be prepared to see Wagyu beef in a whole new light, as they'll be preparing the beef in all sorts of ways. The restaurant is divided into the Yakiniku Lounge and the Live Kitchen, and will also have a Butcher Shop where you can shop prime cuts of Japanese beef imported exclusively by Wagyu Studio.

At the Yakiniku Lounge, you can choose from beef of different fattiness levels and cook it for yourself at the table. The short-but-sweet yakiniku menu includes the Akami (P1,500) or lean beef, the Chutori (P2,000) or semi-fatty beef, the Otoro (P2,500) or fatty, and the Mix (P2,000). They've also got the Sukiyaki (P1,500) or sliced sirloin with egg.

With your beef, you can also order sides like Gohan (P100) or steamed rice, Gyudon (P1,500) or Wagyu rice bowl, and Katsu Sando (P3,000) or cutlet sandwich. There will also be appetizers like the Edamame (P250) with truffle salt, Nikumiso (P800) or wagyu dip with cabbage, and Gyoza (P650) or Wagyu dumplings.

Meanwhile, you can try out Wagyu Studio's tasting menu (P10,000+/head) at the Live Kitchen. The multi-course menu includes signatures like the Wagyu Sando, Tricolor Tartar, and Josper.

Drinks are no mere afterthought here, either; Wagyu Studio carries an array of wines, sake, beer, and cocktails—one of which is the one-of-a-kind Wagyu Old Fashioned (P500) with rendered wagyu fat.
Excited for the opening but can't head out? You can sate the Wagyu beef cravings for now with ready-to-cook steaks, which you can delivered get from online shops like Wagyu Philippines or Ben and Diego's Premium Steak.

Wagyu Studio will be at Unit 201B 1/F The Finance Center, 9th Avenue corner 26th Street, Bonifacio Global City. For more information, check out Wagyu Studio's Instagram page.
